Polar Flame are second place in Polar Challenge 2008! They crossed the Finish Line this morning and are in great spirits. Cold Front expect to finish tonight with Gamania hoping to reach the Pole and push on to the Finish tomorrow. Polar Flame and Holiday Club will arrive in Resolute tonight and begin their journey back to Ottawa and onto home on Thursday.

Polar Flame have passed through the 1996 Magnetic North Pole Position and look set to achieve 2nd Place on Polar Challenge 2008 tonight! Cold Front are covering excellent ground and hope to make it to the finish line tomorrow evening. Gamania are also making excellent headway and should arrive at the Pole tomorrow. Teams Best Served Chilled, Lost Penguins (plus Yo Yo) and Polar Warriors/ Cold Beef are enjoying warm beds hot showers and home-cooked food in Resolute. Tomorrow they begin their 3 day journey back to London.

Polar Warriors/Cold Beef are winners of Polar Challenge 2008! The team has done fantastically well and made a superb effort with a final last push over the finish line. Polar Flame look set to earn second place, they hope to make the Pole and the finish line tomorrow - a big day ahead. It is with great sadness that Holiday Club leave the race - due to their delays en route to CP2, there is now not enough time for them to make the final leg in the time allotted. Cold Front and Gamania are progressing on their journey between CP2 and the finish.

Lost Penguins and Yo Yo are the second fastest team to cross the line, congratulations to the team who are now at the finish line. Tonight Cold Beef hope to arrive at the finish line - if they do they will become the winners of Polar Challenge 2008. Polar Flame and Cold Front are on their way to the Pole, Gamania hope to reach CP2 tonight, Holiday Club are aiming for CP2 tomorrow.

Best Served Chilled have crossed the finish line and are the fastest team to complete the race, in a time only 6 hours behind record holders Team Hardware from 2005. They are delighted and enjoying some well earned rest. Cold Beef look set to win Polar Challenge 2008 - they are due to cross the finish line tomorrow afternoon. Second Place Team Polar Flame have left CP2. Holiday Club are well and have made good progress. Cold Front expect to hit CP2 today, Gamania tomorrow. Lost Penguins and Yo Yo reached the Pole today and will cross the finish line tomorrow.

RACE DAY 9
Best Served Chilled have arrived at CP2. They crossed the line in hawaiian shirts and garlands! Lost Penguins were 7 hours behind them, and will now take Yo Yo forward with them for the rest of the journey CP2 - Finish. Cold Beef are expected in the checkpoint tomorrow evening. Holiday have had a slow day as Ross has been feeling unwell, but they hope to make up the distance tomorrow. All are well and still enjoying the warm sunshine.

Race Leaders Cold Beef / Polar Warriors are now in CP2. They intend to depart early this morning and make the finish line in the next 3 days. Best Served Chilled are travelling rapidly and may break Hardware's 2005 speed record. Yo Yo is flying the flag for British Sea Power and making strong progress with Lost Penguins. Holiday Club have had a better day with Ross feeling better. Gamania, Polar Flame and Cold Front remain in high spirits.

RACE DAY 11
Best Served Chilled are set to arrive at the Mag Pole and the Finish Line tomorrow. Second place team Polar Flame hope to make CP2 during the night. Cold Front should arrive at CP2 tomorrow. Holiday Club have had a short day while Ross is recovering, they are getting plenty of food, fluids and sleep before continuing on the journey ahead.
